Project Manager

There is currently a Project Manager opening at East Penn Manufacturing (a manufacturer of Deka Batteries and Accessories) located in Lyon Station, PA. The Project Manager will work in the Project Management Office to support the continuous improvement of EPM Project Management processes and practices.

PMO Project Managers will be called upon to support the PMO Manager in project and portfolio management.

In delivering projects, the PMO Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Follow an effective organizational project management process
  • Communicate effectively with steering team and project sponsors
  • Manage and lead an effective and efficient project team
  • Establish, develop and communicate project scope and requirements
  • Collaborate in the development of the project schedule and monitor and report on project progress
  • Work closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs
  • Establish and communicate goals and objectives for the project
  • Work with other PM’s to find and develop best practices

In managing project portfolios, the PMO Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Help maintain a list of active projects which meet select criteria for EPM
  • Help monitor the status of key projects
  • Support operational steering teams
  • Work with departmental heads to help in resource management and balancing
  • Support operation project managers and project teams with coaching and on-the-job training
  • Work with department heads, sponsors and operational steering teams to help make sure projects get supported properly and are delivered successfully.

Requirements for this position include a BS degree or higher, at least 3-5 years experience with 1 year in Project Management, ability to work with senior management, effective motivational and communication skills, good understanding of financial analysis, and excellent presentation skills.

This position may require travel at times.
