About This Role:
The Morris lab in the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University is seeking a Program Manager who will contribute to our mission of understanding and improving crop adaptation. The successful applicantâs primary responsibility will be to manage the Trait Discovery Platform for the new Innovation Lab for Crop Improvement (ILCI). The program manager will work with collaborators and participants internationally to: design outreach and training materials/tools; lead listening and training workshops; and coordinate international collaborations on trait discovery for crop improvement. The ideal applicant will have: experience in management of multi-institutional, international research and development programs; demonstrated excellence oral and written communications; demonstrated sensitivity in working and communicating with persons from other cultures. Must be willing to lead and work in teams across time zones and travel frequently internationally (Africa, Latin America, South Asia). Proficiency in languages relevant to international agriculture community is a plus.

What Youâll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- Three to five years relevant experience in international agriculture
Preferred Requirements:
- Masters degree in international agriculture, development or related field
- Minimum five years experience in management of multi-institutional, international research and development programs.
- Knowledge of international agriculture research and community
- Demonstrated sensitivity in working and communicating with persons from other cultures
- Experience developing materials for training and outreach.
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to listen to and synthesize sometimes-conflicting ideas from multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in report writing.
- Demonstrated excellence oral and written communications
- Proficiency in languages relevant to international agriculture community
- Willing to lead and work in teams across time zones
- Willing travel frequently internationally (Africa, Latin America, South Asia)

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
$55,680 – $62,000 annually, salary commensurate with experience.
