The Payroll Project Manager is a key team member responsible for leading the payroll side for the consolidation/conversion initiative related to the optimization, standardization and documentation of Payroll for North America using process improvement best practices. This position will interface with key stakeholders (including the North America payroll operations teams) and partner with the benefits, compensation, Time and Attendance, HR Enablement and HRIT teams.

This position will interface with key stakeholders (including the North America payroll operations teams) and partner with the benefits, compensation, Time and Attendance, HR Enablement and HRIT teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the HRE project Team to provide end to end process design, re-engineering consultation to optimize processes and solutions. Address quality issues around processes and develop action plans.
- Analysis of payroll processes to identify/quantify opportunities for process simplification, standardization and cost effectiveness/efficiency gains
- Review, build and maintain complete catalog of process maps and establish local variations.
- Assess impact of new policies/programs to payroll to ensure appropriate level of process standards have been established
- Assist with the coordination and completion of a one-year Payroll system conversion.
- Ability to work actively with vendors to prepare for conversion.
- Supports all testing and attests to the accuracy of converted data; as well as the accuracy to pay related interfaces to third parties
- Validates required reports to successfully run payroll and provide key stakeholders with required data for financials.
- Identify and document project risks, priorities, assumptions, scope and approach.
- Provide consolidated Project Update/Summary on a weekly basis to Manager
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years’ payroll experience and 8 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll process engineering, process mapping, process optimization, and business analysis.
- 3-5 years of Project Management with emphasis in payroll systems/transformation implementation
- Extensive experience working with ADP and PeopleSoft payroll systems.
- Deep functional knowledge of payroll processes is required along with a solid understanding of HR and Payroll regulations and legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization, tailoring the content appropriately for the audience
- Leader with initiative and drive who collaborates well in a team-oriented environment and builds strong and effective working relationships
- Attentive to detail with an aptitude for understanding how the details fit and matter within existing processes
