Job Summary:
The Network Threat Detection Engineer, Assistant Vice President, will support a team of network security engineers, who work within Enterprise Information Security (EIS); Work closely with Control Officers to ensure their understanding of associated risks and technical actions required for remediation; Ensure consistent and comprehensive creation of Standard Operating Procedures and/or Business As Usual documentation for network perimeter security technologies.

Mature firewall rule management process through automation scripts

Maintain evergreen processes for firewall rule recertification

Assist in addressing network security control deficiencies in a timely & pragmatic way

Help and mature the network threat detection program and technologies within Enterprise Information Security

Maintaining familiarity with industry trends and security best practices

Build close relationships with peers within Enterprise Information Security Network Security.
Qualifications:
Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in information technology with emphasis on Information Security.

Scripting Languages: Perl and/or Python experience
-
CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent
-
Knowledge and experience with networking, network segmentation, and network access.

Experience supporting a large scale, complex, high performance environment.

Strategic, creative, and innovative mindset

Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight.
