We have an amazing opportunity for a world-class Data Scientist to lead a team of data scientists, analytics engineers, and analysts to drive our data science strategy and analytics vision. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Define the company’s data science and ML strategy in partnership with executive leadership
  • Lead a team of Data Scientists, Game Analysts, and Analytics Engineers to build predictive and prescriptive models and provide analysis and insights into our games and players.
  • Work with game and BI engineering teams to implement, test and deploy models on Google Cloud Platform and analytics using Looker.
  • Responsible for strategic data science models such as Predicted Lifetime Value (pLTV) and Months to Recoup (MTR).
  • Lead by example: Ability to roll-up your sleeves and act as a role model to the team by writing complex algorithms and performing in-depth analysis.
  • Build rapport and relationships with BI engineering, product management, finance, and user acquisition teams, as well as fellow data scientists in our sister gaming companies (Plarium and Product Madness).
  • Collaborate with product teams and studios to identify and prioritize opportunities to drive business value.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • You possess a blend of strategy, execution, and business understanding.
  • Demonstrated track record partnering with leadership roles across engineering and business roles
  • Experience working closely with strategic technology partners.
  • Strong analytical capabilities – you can translate business questions into requirements and data into insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence and persuade executives.

Required Experience:

  • Recognized as an expert in Data Science, with publications in peer reviewed journals, interviews by the national press, speaker at major conferences, and/or running a well-known blog
  • 10+ years’ experience putting models into production
  • 10+ years’ experience leading teams that work with structured and unstructured data
  • 5+ years’ experience leading teams performing data science or advanced analytics work
  • 3+ years leveraging cloud technology (e.g. AWS, GCP)
  • Expert understanding of methods in data science and ML
  • Highly proficient/experienced in SQL, Python, Perl, Java
  • MSc/PhD in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Physics, Economics, etc) required
  • Experience working with mobile consumer data, ideally in a F2P gaming environment.
