- Experience on integration of smart building features like smart parking, indoor navigation, smart lighting, smart workspace, smart cafeteria, mobile apps, machine learning concepts
- Integration Knowledge of various systems HVAC controls systems (BMS), electronic security systems (ESS), fire systems, mass notification, Distributed Communication Networking, Elevator Systems, Intrusion Systems etc.
- As a smart building SME, understand the user experience design document, derive smart DT requirements at system level, end customer standards in construction, MEP, network and IT requirements and prepare the DT systems standards
- Identify systems for DT experience with strong domain knowledge on DT systems
- Generate functional and technical requirements of DT systems
- Drive proof of concepts on various scenarios approved by end customer and derive business case
- Identify relevant technology of DT systems for POC execution and validate the POC results as per the user experience and expected end result
- Act as catalyst between DT system vendors, internal and external stake holders
- Co-ordinate with offshore team and be an interface between end customer and internal stake holders.
- Drive the internal team for implementing the POC solution and conduct POCs both offshore and at customer premises
- Define the standards based on the POC outcomes for all the DT systems by calling out required interfaces, technology, parameters explicitly in the standards definition
- Knowledge share with working team for defining the standards, review with internal and external stake holders
- Drive technical discussions between internal and external stake holders, OEMs/Vendors
- Should have good knowledge on current and future technology understanding in the smart building space
- Should have good knowledge on various interfaces and open standards exposure like BACnet, LON, Modbus, MQTT, REST API, Sedona etc.
- Should be a self-starter with Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Presentation skills to explain and educate others both internal and external, at all level of an organization.
- Industry experience and deep IoT / M2M knowledge in specific vertical industries such as Industrial Automation and Manufacturing, Smart Buildings, Energy, Security and Surveillance.
- Experience in IoT market in a technical capacity is a great advantage, including an understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
- Very good understanding about various standard like ASHRAE/LEED and BEMS systems of Honeywell/Siemens and others.
- Knowledge about selection and design of requirements for a building for HVAC, Lighting, Fire Alarm systems, Security and Access controls.
- Innovative ideas and suggestions to achieve end user smart campus vision.
- Responsible for domain specific technical execution for the deliverables/work (Conceptual Design, Feasibility analysis, Interface design, Protocols and communication finalization)
- Work closely with various internal and external stake holders to achieve the project/POC milestones
- Hands on experience on third-party integration devices connected through LON, Ethernet or BACNET, Profibus, Modbus etc
- Excellent understanding of Communication protocol and networking
- Excellent communication – both verbal and written.
Primary Skills
- 12-15 years of experience in building automation and technologies Industry
- Knowledge of Wireless and Wired Communication protocols like BACNet, LON, Modbus, PROFIBUS etc.
- Strong knowledge of IBMS architecture with different types of Operator workstations, Supervisory Networks, DDC networks, sensors, etc.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems like Chilled Water System, Cooling towers, chilled and condenser water Primary and Secondary pump system, Hot water system, different types of AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of network protocols Experience in engineering, installing and commissioning of HVAC & BMS systems for infrastructure projects like airports, commercial buildings, hospitals, etc.
- Ability to read and understand BMS documents (mechanical drawings, specifications, Floor Plans, Equipment).
- Ability to understand customer requirements and hand hold the design team for implementation to get the desired output
Additional:
- Building Commissioning Knowledge & Industry certifications preferred
- Experiences with critical building facilities such as data centers or laboratories
- Project execution expertise.
- Strong knowledge on MS office tools
Education
- BS/BTech Computer Science/Electronic Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation
- Advanced or multiple degrees a plus
