As the Global Vice-President, New Business Development you would be responsible for developing the global strategy for new vendor business opportunities and establishing a program agreement with vendors on a global and regional level, in line with the Food and Ag strategy.
Preferred location is the United States, Dallas in particular. Note travel would be 50% or more.
Day to day:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop new vendor business opportunities on a global and regional level for the Food & Ag GBU.
- Contribute to the development and formulation of the global strategy and business plan
- Monitor and analyze market developments and trends to identify and target new business opportunities
- Initiate and build contact with prospect international vendors and manage the vendor decision making structure
- Develop business case and feasibility study for global/international vendor business opportunity
- Develop project plans, form and manage project teams and ensure required input concerned functional disciplines
- Monitor, support and contribute to the initial implementation of vendor agreements, in order to ensure that all conditions are in place for a profitable roll out of the vendor/program agreement
- Manage business relationships with vendors in order to increase business, income and profitability in the short and long term
- Assist Program Managers with global and regional expansion of existing programs.
Accountabilities:
- Work with stakeholders to assess new revenue generating business opportunities.
- Formulate strategic proposals through a deep understanding of DLL financials, organization structure, and history
- Monitor and analyze market developments and trends, identify and target new business opportunities on a global and regional level.
- Create a business case and rationale for global and regional business opportunities.
- Build, maintain and influence a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners and represent department, GBU and DLL to external stakeholders (e.g. vendors, dealers and partners), in line with business needs, policies and external
Measures:
- Drive growth in F&A Business Unit by signing programs with potential annual NBV of 50m-300m+ (min annual NBV Contribution: > € 175m)
- Conversion rate NBD acquisition phase to start up program agreement phase, pipeline management
- % of approved Business Cases
- Effective roll-out of signed programs to Program Management and Sales in various countries
- Program profitability, penetration rates, program growth, and customer satisfaction

Essentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of successful vendor finance experience in a strategic new business development role. Food & Ag industry experience preferred.
- Solid insight and experience developing mutually beneficial, strategic alliances
- Experience in managing long, complicated sales processes and negotiating operating/program agreements
- Must have strong presentation skills with an ability to sell complex concepts in a simplified and compelling manner.
- Ability to influence management decisions
- Experience communicating complex information to internal and external stakeholders
- Commercial and operational experience required
