Full Job Description
Forestry Project Manager
Overview: Team Oriented Company seeking a full time Forestry Project Manager. While Forestry experience is not required it is preferred.
Position Duties:
- Attends pre-bid meetings as assigned.
- Provides written summary of pre-bid visit to Estimator which should include:
- Important logistical info
- Equipment required
- Staff required
- Materials required
- Provides written estimate of staff, time, and materials needed to complete the job to Estimator.
- Manages awarded projects as assigned.
- Co-Develops pre-job logistics package with estimator to include:
- Project name
- Purchase order number
- HR documents
- Expected crew production and project timeline
- Equipment and materials needed and assigned to project
- Presents logistics package to assigned crew.
- Executes HR documents prior to project start-up.
- Coordinates with project site manager for the life of the project.
- Manages, coordinates, and keeps crew supplied daily as needed for the life of the project.
- Sends daily jobsites emails to summarize crew size, location, and type of work being conducted to management
- Downloads, monitors, and analyzes GPS tracks weekly, if applicable.
- Sends project production update weekly to management
- Ensures proper documentation/data is received by site managers as needed.
- Conducts quality control assessments and makes adjustments as needed.
- Executes field work as assigned.
- Evaluates and corrects payroll reports for assigned projects and/or personnel.
- Coordinates with management to handle matters beyond individual control.
- Coordinates weekly with to plan and prepare for week ahead.
- Plans and prepares for work
- Submits work orders to management upon project completion or at pre-determined production intervals.
Required:
- Forestry Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass drug test
- Willing to work out of town periodically
- Off-road driving experience
- Must be able to operate an ATV/RTV
- Must be able to use excel, word, outlook, send/receive emails
- Must be willing to attend continuing education classes
