As the Director of Safety Programs, you will be responsible for creating and owning safety programs across all markets. This position will design Limeâs external facing trust and safety programming, design operational guidelines, identify and prioritize safety policies, and measure success. In this role, ensuring that our trust and safety policies are accurately communicated to riders, non-riders, the media and cities effectively and clearly is critical. This position will report to the Vice President and Global Head of Trust and Safety.
What You’ll Do
- Serves as a key subject matter expert, advisor, and liaison to Limeâs Trust & Safety team and other leadership members to develop programming and outreach strategies
- Manages oversight for the creation and development of comprehensive and innovative new safety programs to keep riders and pedestrians safe
- Collaborate and develop relationships with Communications, Legal, Operations, Government Relations, and others to proactively address safety issues in the public
- Collect feedback on policies and messaging with internal and external customers, along with overseeing research (both quantitative and qualitative) to inform decision making
- Identify and partner with international, national, and industry-leading organizations to promote safety across markets
- Design proactive roadmaps prioritizing policies and implementation of safety programs
- Foster a team culture of trust, commitment, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization
About You
- 10+ years experience, with 5+ years in a role overseeing safety programming, policy advocacy or government relations, consulting, risk management, global operations, or public affairs in high-growth technology companies, non-profits, or government agencies
- 5+ years of people management experience, including managing leaders and managing remotely across multiple regions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and high technical aptitude with the ability to engage internal and external customers
- Exceptional organization skills to manage complex situations with high visibility
- Ability to execute effectively and lead team to implement with clear and measurably results
- Deep understanding of policy implementation and interfacing complex issues to various stakeholders
- Ability to project manage across decentralized teams with an emphasis on prioritization and multitasking; ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment
- Gravitates to leveraging data to inform and support critical decisions and establish operational and success KPIs
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with an eagerness to learn and grow
- Ability to foster collaboration and facilitate teamwork
