Director of Professional Services

Aquila Software is currently seeking a Director of Professional Services in Pembroke Pines, FL to manage the client delivery of our enterprise software solutions in a way that is consistent with our customer-focused vision and brand promise.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the General Manager of the division, the Director of Professional Services will manage a team of consultants, trainers, and project managers, and will have the following primary responsibilities:

• Lead product delivery and implementation services, providing management and oversight of implementation projects.
• Ensure consistent delivery of both operational and financial performance in keeping with corporate metrics. Create and maintain project budgets, monitor project profitability, and drive outstanding revenue results in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Interact regularly and positively with clients to plan implementation, track delivery progress, and proactively identify and manage through roadblocks to ensure client success. Ensure on-time, on-quality, and on-budget delivery, and fulfill our brand promise of delivering the industry’s best solution, with the best ROI, implemented right the first time.
• Supervise the professional services team to ensure that delivery is timely and meets or exceeds the clients’ needs. Manage staffing issues, including project assignments and capacity planning.
• Coach professional services team members to boost performance and foster each individual’s personal and career development. Recruit and develop best-in-class team members.
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures that will support clients, implementations and customer satisfaction goals.
• Identify new opportunities for professional services in the market. Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate the sales, discovery, scope, planning and deployment of the product.
• Facilitate communication and teamwork within the professional services team, between the team and clients, and across functional teams, including sales, support, and development, in a Scrum-type environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in software implementation or professional services.
• 3+ years of experience managing a professional services or implementation team.
• Experience managing professional services team based on P&L and core financial metrics preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with demonstrated success developing and/or engaging a top-notch team.
• Experience working and deploying Agile Scrum strongly preferred.
• Excellent, professional communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to clients and understand their business needs.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand client business needs, maximize staff efficiency and help identify market needs.
• Strong project management, consulting and process improvement skills.
