Regent Surgical Health currently has an open position for a Director of Clinical Operations. This position is responsible for clinical compliance/quality assurance activities in multiple ASCs. This position serves as a key member of the Clinical Team and assumes leadership for planning and executing quality processes in assigned centers to promote patient safety; compliance with applicable standards with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, State regulations, accreditation standards all while demonstrating exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position requires approximately 70 % travel.
- Implements corporate policies and procedures at the center level
- Maintains extensive knowledge and understanding of the implementation of Federal and State regulations and standards of ASC accrediting organizations (AAAHC and Joint Commission)
- Pursues updated knowledge to maintain subject matter expertise related to all areas of clinical management: risk, infection control, safety, quality, regulatory changes, accreditation updates, and the like
- Supports assigned ASC’s in maintaining a constant state of survey readiness.
- Monitors, audits and evaluates compliance with Federal and State regulations, and the quality of the clinical services provided at assigned ASCs by conducting on-site assessments and developing action plans to address areas for improvement.
- Supports implementation of action plans and quality initiatives
- Is familiar with Qualitynet and all CMS reporting requirements and is able to support the centers with submitting the required data
- Provide education to the ASCs leaders, employees and LIPs on regulatory and accreditation standards to support continual survey readiness
- Available to the assigned ASCs for questions and assistance when needed.
- Provides a Clinical Quality report for Center Board meetings
- Participates by presenting topics at company-wide leadership conferences such as the Regent Surgical Health Annual Director of Nursing Conference and other educational conferences as assigned.
- Maintains and supports ongoing communication with VP of Clinical Operations related to clinical, quality and risk management activities, corporate initiatives, trends, problems, surveys, letters of deficiency and plans of correction.
- Develops educational material, webinars and in-services as requested
- Works as part of the Regent Surgical Health clinical team and assumes additional responsibilities and projects as they develop.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is required. (3-5 years)
- 3-5 years in an ASC leadership position is required
- Experience with orthopedic procedures preferred

- Must be computer literate. Computer Skills required including proficiency in MS Office products (outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as preferred knowledge with HST.
