Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Play an integral role in developing strategies, defining infrastructure and architectural direction, and implementing mission-critical software applications that will be used by the team’s clients on a daily basis. As a senior member of the team, work closely with business and technical colleagues locally, and in Bengaluru, to solve challenging technical problems, and deliver cutting-edge technical solutions to meet evolving business demands. Employ effective problem-solving and consensus building skills and utilize latest technologies and software industry best practices to participate in the full software development lifecycle for systems written using Java, SQL, RESTful web services, AngularJS, ReactJS, Redux Saga, Webpack, Spring, Spring Cloud, Struts, and GIT. Design, develop, test, and deliver highly performant and resilient client and server-side systems in an agile and fast-moving environment. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Product Development to facilitate the Financial Technology strategy and improve the business’s profitability. Manage software development projects. Mentor and develop more junior members of the team to help them grow in their careers.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior work experience must include seven (7) years: utilizing knowledge of web development technologies for browser and mobile based applications, such as HTTP, Javascript, AngularJS, or ReactJS; implementing new Restful services for Web Applications and to be consumed by other clients; implementing solutions based on Messaging Queues/Topics, utilizing brokers like RabbitMQ or IBM MQ; and using statistical analysis techniques, data mining, and database query languages such as SQL for processing large data sets. Prior work experience must include five (5) years: assimilating broad ranging customer expectations and converting them into tangible deliverables; implementing projects in Microservices Architecture using frameworks like Spring Cloud; structuring and modeling multiple related data sources using entity relationship (ER) modeling, structured query language (SQL), and relational data management concepts; using BPM tools, implementing business rules for applications that can be managed by users independently; working in Agile / Scrum environment; utilizing understanding of application infrastructure, scalability requirements, and systems monitoring tools for product and technical design for internal and client-facing tools; experienced with logging tool and frameworks like Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana; creating CI/CD pipelines for applications to help achieve optimal processes; and using JIRA as a platform for creating stories and logging defects. Prior work experience must include two (2) years: creating secure PDFs using products like Adobe Rights Management ES; and facilitating project scope definition and project plan development, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, budget, resource plan.
