As an executive level leadership position, the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing is responsible for providing leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan and oversee a branding and marketing plan focused on recruitment, admission, retention and graduation consistent with the strategic goals and mission of the university. The successful candidate will provide collaborative leadership in designing the University’s enrollment strategies and expected to make data-informed, evidence-based enrollment decisions utilizing best practices in admissions and enrollment management. The Vice President will need to be innovative and adept at promoting current academic programs, as well as making recommendations for new recruitment ideas, marketing strategies, and academic programs that align with the University’s mission, resources, and market demand.
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Admissions Office, Graduate Admissions, International Affairs, Financial Aid, and Marketing & Communications Office and engages collaboratively with other executive and senior leaders;
- Lead the effort the development and implementation of a strategic enrollment management plan that includes traditional, non-traditional, graduate, and international student populations;
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of strategic enrollment objectives and recruitment strategies and supervise all aspects of the enrollment funnel and recruitment pipelines;
- Collaborate with Financial Aid Office and Finance Office/CFO to ensure aid optimization to drive net revenue per student to meet new student enrollment goals and maximize retention of continuing students;
- Promote a student-centered environment that supports the personal, social, and academic development of all students; Build strategic partnerships with organizations in the local and regional area to create additional revenue opportunities consistent with the University’s mission
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in key leadership competencies with professional qualifications, including:
- A record of proven success as an enrollment leader with strong communication and listening skills and the ability to focus and lead an organization to set and achieve strategic goals
- Extensive knowledge of best practices, national and regional trends, and policy developments in all aspects of enrollment management and marketing; including recruitment, admission, financial aid, retention, student success, and marketing.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and values which support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated innovative thinking and ability to build coalitions of faculty and staff around a compelling, data-informed vision for the University’s future
- Knowledge of regulatory, professional, and ethical guidelines in enrollment management, financial aid and international student recruiting to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
