We are seeking an IT Globalization Category Director lead to help drive the ITG Procurement strategy, transformation initiatives, and implementation plans to ensure the businesses have the most cost effective and optimal ITG services where needed.
Primary areas of responsibility include:
- Develop category strategies, financial models, and implementation plans for IT Globalization vendors to reduce the expense base
- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to reduce the expense base and improve service capabilities and location strategy (offshore/near-shore)
- Partner with business lines to understand their resource strategy in order to anticipate and meet their ITG resource needs
- Help businesses optimize their spend by analyzing and eliminating unnecessary demand, vetting and utilizing lower cost alternatives
- Research and leverage marketplace best practices and industry benchmarking data to identify opportunities
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of developing strong category strategies, project plans, and leading negotiations to bring in cost savings and other benefits
- Tenacity and will to win to overcome obstacles with negotiations and implementation plans
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (Powerpoint, Email, etc for senior level audiences)
- Excellent analytical skills with data analysis, insights, and recommendations to help drive cost saves; proficiency in excel
- IT Globalization experience and financial services experience strongly preferred
