Overview

In the Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG) at Intuit, we’re powering prosperity by fueling the success of small businesses, freelancers, and solopreneurs across the globe with QuickBooks. We invite you to join our QuickBooks Online Platform team, which sits within SBSEG and powers prosperity for our Small Business, Self-Employed, Accountant, and Developer customers and partners.
We’re looking for a force multiplier and servant leader who can operate at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels—but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the work. If you thrive at the intersection of program management and shaping messages, this is the role for you. This is an exciting time to join us, as you’ll be getting in at the ground level to help build and shape the future of a new team. As part of the team that partners closely with the Online Platform leadership team, you’ll focus on the right things that enable them to scale and accelerate results, be more productive and successful, and create impact at scale – so they’re not spending time on things that bog down acceleration.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key strategic initiatives and special projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments’ or leaders’ areas of responsibility. Manage smaller tiger teams as needed across ones that have an immediate need or great impact.
  • Help leadership team drive awareness of their strategic priorities within their leadership teams and across their organizations. Drive content strategy for analyses, six pagers, etc.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leadership, brainstorming potential solutions and thinking through challenges.
  • Troubleshoot and handle needs as they arise, by diving in to listen, observe, analyze, and come out with actionable recommendations and a plan forward.
  • Deploy to situations where it’s clear that people in different groups need to work together, but it’s not obvious how they should. Provide clarity by outlining objectives for individual teams, and, when necessary, creating a vision, strategy, and common purpose for people to rally around. Help define clear responsibilities and communications.
  • Move fluidly between all levels of the org on projects that have the greatest impact or need, with a focus on improving efficiencies, transparency, consistency, and collaboration within the organization.
  • Track high priorities for the principal executive(s) and identify any obstacles. Communicate initiative status to the executive, pulling in other executives or team members as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with a keen eye for optics and situational awareness.
  • Ability to quickly digest and synthesize new information, then quickly generate recommendations for solutions and plan of action.
  • Ability to gain buy-in from various stakeholders (sometimes with competing or conflicting interests) to arrive at proposed solution or set of next steps.
  • Is comfortable leading from both the front and the rear, as situations dictate. Rolls up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to deliver positive outcomes for the team.
  • Unfazed by ambiguity, and gets energy from figuring out gnarly situations.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, including the ability to inspire confidence and earn trust and support at all levels of the organization from staff to senior executives.
  • Demonstrates a high EQ (emotional IQ).
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience (biz ops a plus, but not a must) working collaboratively in large, complex, global organizations with multiple stakeholders and diverse communities.
