Job Responsibilities
- Develop a strong platform vision that is focused on customer, partner and employee experience journeys.
- Manage a DevOps based Scrum team with empathy, creativity, and efficiency.
- Proactively remove or escalate roadblocks to allow team progress.
- Maintain and communicate relevant metrics to help the team monitor their performance to develop chemistry, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Create rhythm and velocity by coaching daily stand-up meetings, facilitate and schedule team meetings, demos, and sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Assist product owner in creating, managing and communicating the backlog.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and responsiveness to complete work and solve problems with a strong drive to persevere when faced with ambiguity.
- Encourage continual improvement in Agile and DevOps practices with an emphasis on Nexus framework.
- Take proactive action when one notices differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management.
- Able to act as a servant leader to resolve conflicts, facilitate discussions, propose viable alternatives, and consider different approaches.
- Desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the product teams about technical development in order to gain business trust.
Requirements
- Scrum Master Certified
- 7+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master working in multiple scrum culture.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using Scrum methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Slack, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem ¬solving, time ¬management and influencing skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.
- Persistent drive for continual improvement, both with team and self.
- Quick learner¬: must be able to quickly gain a high-level understanding of the technical and business domains of the product teams.
- Have a passion for creating an environment for a successful platform team.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work under minimal supervision are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other technical field.
Preferences
- Knowledge of Nexus or Scrum of Scrum methodologies.
