The Project Manager will deliver end-to-end Treasury technology solutions in a robust, stable operating environment to drive business growth for our commercial, corporate, investment banking and global markets clients. Supports BAML’s clients through the product lifecycle including internal sales support, fulfillment of products and customer interfacing channels in fulfilling Cash Management, Payments, Payables, Lockbox, Card and Trade & Supply Chain Finance needs globally across the US, EMEA, APAC, Canada and LatAm regions. Also delivers world-class solutions for regulatory technology related to Anti–Money Laundering, Know-Your-Customer onboarding and Tax onboarding, refresh and closure for internal and external clients.

Oversees SWIFT project execution including project charter, business requirements, standards adherence, quality control, financial management and service provider work. Initiates and provides leadership, strategic/tactical direction and planning input on all information technology and client/business area issues and in the development of an IT environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives. Participates with IT management in the development of technology projects, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area. Serves as a single point of contact and the escalation point between the client/business area and internal IT developers for the resolution of unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Provides the client areas with technology products and service alternatives that improve the IT service delivery process.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager who leads SWIFT Payments Tech project(s).
  • Accountable initiative planning activities, including project charter, project financials (e.g., forecasts/actuals), issues, risks, dependencies, PTB/PTO/PTS, GBAM Portal and all project governance and execution requirements.
  • Leads project routines with cross functional and cross LOB participation
  • Leverages project routines and artifacts to inform and drive updates/escalations to leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Skillfully influences others to acquire resources, overcome barriers, and gain support to ensure the project’s success.
  • Communicates clearly to audiences through verbal communication, emails, presentations, status updates, etc.
  • Ensures clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities for key project roles, including matrix roles outside the immediate team.
  • Integrates knowledge of end-to-end business process into project planning and decisioning processes.
  • Develops, maintains, and reports on an overall integrated delivery plan for all assigned projects.
  • Possesses superior project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work, escalate issues, and meet deadlines leveraging enterprise tools and techniques (e.g., ECG tool, Materiality tool, RAFT, PPRT, and PCM).
  • Demonstrates a strong business and risk centric mindset with experience applying it towards complex technical environments/projects.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Bank of America Technical Project Management
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Capability to effectively and crisply communicate with technical teams, business and technical stakeholders and leadership
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and build trust with both clients and technical partners
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent time-bound projects within the portfolio of work
  • Awareness and proactive management of risk, issues and/or escalations
  • Effective at developing, rolling out and enforcing processes and governance requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Current experience in Bank of America project governance and permit requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • PMP or other project management certification desired
  • Agile project delivery experience, a plus
  • Experience working across a Matrixed-organization
