Program manager to drive and lead the top key strategic initiative in the Merchants & Acquired Processing Product Development (MAP PD) organization. The position requires a highly experienced professional who is innovative, organized, and dependable. Must be detail-oriented and as master collaborator – ready to prepare, plan and implement program plans, monitor and report progress, and ensure successful delivery. Ideal candidate will have a very strong technical experience and skills, an ability to manage expectations and the relationships with major clients, flex between the strategic and the tactical, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective plan of action for running this mission critical initiative from inception to completion
  • Strategically map out a program schedule and timeline, and ensure it is strictly followed
  • Lead and negotiate scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications with our key client
  • Set goals for the programs and track progress, set-backs, and overall performance
  • Track, record, and compile program performance data
  • Analyze program results and present findings to management
  • Prepare and maintain budgets
  • Lead Change Control for scope changes
  • Provide strategic vision and strong leadership while directing programs under this key initiative
  • Ensure the programs always support and advance our organization’s mission and goals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
  • Experience with other Lean/Agile framework and methods, i.e.: Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Decisive but inclusive decision making in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in at least one Agile project management tool: Rally, Jira, Version One, etc.

Work Hours
This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.


Travel Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 10% of the time.


Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
