About the role
The Principal Project Manager of Global Clinical will be dedicated to supporting our Clinical Data Enablement and Strategy team. This role will be responsible for supporting our technology strategy through leading the implementation of technology solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Partner with the Data Enablement and Strategy team to support the execution of the clinical information technology and roadmap
- Manages projects : Develops project plans and estimates outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads cross-divisional/functional project team subject matter experts and business partners; Manages team progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables while managing risks and issues and escalating in a timely manner; Provides updates to management and all stakeholders of progress through frequent
- Develops recommendations : Develops and delivers project recommendations to DES and other Global Clinical Operations (GCO) and all stakeholders; Partners with key stakeholders to propose changes in business strategy including; Develops implementation strategy.
- Manages implementation of projects: Develops implementation plan outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads implementation team including cross-divisional/functional representatives; Works with team members to ensure that all supporting infrastructure including program guidelines, processes, training programs, organizational structure and new roles are developed and communicated.
- Communicates project status by co-developing communication strategies in partnership with GCO Communications team, preparing status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
- Supports the development and implementation of effective change management strategies throughout the clinical organization in support to technology related projects
- Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate
- Responsible for defining user needs, identifying gaps, features enhancements and opportunities including process and system optimization including development of product backlog prioritization.
- Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring other project leaders in project management processes and techniques.
What we’re looking for in you:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5 plus years of experience in project or program management, communication, and training, preferably in healthcare.
- 3 plus years of Technology Solutions in regards to Clinical Operations
- Knowledge and experience using interactive communication and/or training software tools and applications, (e.g. Articulate 360; AdobePro).
- Demonstrated strong commitment to compliance, ethics and accountability.
- Able to work independently and to solve complex problems
- Process-oriented and experience in process improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of business acumen and clinical trial fundamentals
- MBA preferred.
- Experience with Agile development a plus
- Exceptional program management skills, including ability to develop strategy and approach for global efforts as well as the ability to organize, execute and manage multiple priorities.
- Project Management certifications also preferred.
- Leadership presence and experience presenting to Sr. management
- Job responsibilities will require that this individual have personal presence, communication skills, diplomacy, and credibility necessary to effectively influence BSC employees.
