Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer with indirect reporting to the Executive Director/Associate Vice Chancellor for Integrative Health, the Operations Manager is a multifaceted position that is charged with overseeing the operations of the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI), increasing visibility and awareness of the SSIHI and its divisions, centers and programs to the community internally and externally organized events as well as through discovering and overseeing partnerships between the institute, Susan and Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, university and the community. The manager is responsible for strategically planning, implementing, executing and evaluating a comprehensive operational and engagement program for the institute and serves as the primary representative and contact person for all community engagement programs for the institute. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the effective operation and management of the SSIHI including supervision of administrative support staff. Primary responsibilities include establishing and directing processes to assure overall control of the high volume and broad scope of special projects, programs, and commitments. The Operations Manager uses independent judgment, analytical and organizational skills manages a variety of complex large scale administrative and institute projects, gathers data, analyzes and evaluates data, prepares detailed information, and provides analysis of results. Independently manage the financial accounts relating to events and marketing initiatives, special projects and facilities rental. Serves as the Operations Manager with supervisory responsibilities for department administrative assistants and oversight of all admin functions including prioritization of workload, and resource allocation The manager will work closely with institute’s staff and the institute’s director of development for fundraising events and is responsible for formulating and executing a detailed action plan as well as adhering to the respective budget for each program and event to ensure that it achieves the defined goals and objectives of each initiative. Uses skills as a seasoned and experienced administrative operations professional to manage, plan and administer the operations of a small to mid-sized academic or non-academic department or organizational unit with limited scope. May report to a chair, director, or a higher level administrative operations professional or manager. Perform short- and long-term planning for the organization. May supervise staff or students. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Salary: Monthly $5,091.67 – $7,758.33
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
