Branch Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required with a preferred 4-year degree in any discipline seeking to learn and
- practice the trade and -related business through a fast-paced, high energy, dynamic position, or warehouse or
- Logistics management or combination of education and experience also required. Degree in Industrial. Distribution, desirable.
- Minimum three (3) yearsâ experience in supervision, warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving, and/or branch management, with emphasis on servicing customers.
- Gate and Door Automation experience 2-5 years
- Qualified candidates must have a proven record of commitment, ambition and drive toward establishing and achieving goals.
- Passion, leadership, initiative, problem solving and professionalism are all supplementary factors to your success in this fast paced, dynamic position.
- Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team and have demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to this position.
- It is preferred that candidates be willing to relocate within the continental United States.
- Understanding of multiple shipping methods – UPS, UPS Online, FedEx, U.S. Postal, private parcel post service, air freight, and trucking.
- Working knowledge of inventory planning and management software.
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience managing profitability of business unit.
- Training in transportation, inventory control, and customer service.
- Experience managing facility design, layout and logistics.
- Forklift certification desirable.
Branch Overview:
- Establishes and achieves branch sales and profitability goals as identified in annual budget.
- Expands branchâs market share through regular sales efforts of both their own efforts and those of their direct reports.
- Provides customer service and support, order entry and order processing management, return goods authorization and entry, technical service support and walk in customer assistance.
- Responsible for purchasing office equipment, office supplies, janitorial items, warehouse material handling equipment, warehouse supplies and packaging materials.
- Inventory management – ordering of materials from suppliers.
- Conducts performance appraisals and recommends corrective action where needed.
- Coordinates maintenance repairs to warehouse equipment.
- Responsible for handling of payments for sales transactions and related reporting.
- Develops and improves the capabilities of employees by demonstrating the skills and behaviors associated with outstanding performance.
- Ensures a clean safe working environment and adherence to all established company safety rules and regulations.
- Ensures availability to planned stocking levels. Recognizes, monitors, and provides timely resolutions to problems with inventory accuracy, obsolescence, and excess stock.
- Maintains accuracy of inventory counts through a regular cycle count program.
- Provides accurate documentation and related paperwork necessary for shipments to customers and other Controlled Products Systems Group facilities.
- Provides training on methods and use of equipment used in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; communicates changes to employees of company processes and procedures.
- Routes shipments to carrier for efficient and economical order delivery.
- Coordinates vendor training seminars and other events held on site.
- Manage employees and handle management tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned.
