Responsibilities
- Manage all operational aspects of a mission-critical inline service in AWS and traditional data centers.
- Own the monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts
- Own the operational aspects of each release, and ensuring that the customer experience is monitored, measured and improved release over release.
- Own customer support and incident management
- Utilize proven skills and knowledge, to provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of application, performance, systems and infrastructure incidents.
- Develop and drive incident management processes, playbooks and stakeholder communication mechanisms.
- Provide technical leadership, career development, coaching, objectives, and priorities of reporting staff
- Build a high performing, results-oriented organization
- Embrace & implement new ideas that produce outstanding results for our customers
- Drive adoption of best practices, tools, systems and metrics across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or any Engineering Discipline
- 10+ years’ experience as an established technical leader of Agile DevOps teams that have successfully delivered highly scalable, highly available, mission-critical software as a service
- Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 5+ years of hands on software development experience
- Able to lead positive change, cultivate product visions and innovative solutions and foster effective engineering teams with strong technical and business acumen
- Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders; Possesses strong verbal, written communication & presentation skills
- Strong decision maker, driver and collaborator. Expected to work effectively across teams, functional groups and business units
- Experience in strategic planning and rapid delivery of innovative, high quality software solutions for complex business problems
- Strong communication skills (Written and Oral)
- Willingness to work outside of traditional business hours is required
