Junior Project Manager
Job Description
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the ideal candidate is organized, efficient, professional and overly communicative. He or she will be able to work with a variety of people and departments (new business, creative, strategy, analytics, account) to deliver great, collaborative work against agency deadlines.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across all departments
- Provide regular project status updates and keep teams informed at all times of timelines and deliverables
- Guide development of templates and case studies as needed
- Maintain clear and consistent communication across various projects simultaneously
- Prioritize projects based on due dates and time estimates
- Coordinate details and schedule of jobs traveling through the system via updated status reports
- Manage internal agency expectations to ensure alignment in work process and work deliverables
- Respond quickly to team needs, potential problems or issues
- Understand key operational functions of the agency and timing realities to set expectations
- Develops clear and reasonable timelines, processes and other organizational structures to create efficiencies for all departments involved in a project
- Help assign resources to projects based on skill sets and availability
- Review project specifications and expectations with project leads
- Monitor job costs and time entry, proactively advise when a change in direction will affect timeline
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely delivery
- Engage in team and/or client meetings as necessary
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills Required:
- 2-4+ years marketing and/or project management experience (preferably agency-side)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive functional and basic technical understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Openness to adapting and enhancing existing agency processes and project management software
- Familiarity with and appreciation for marketing, experiential in particular
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Dynamic problem-solving skills and the ability to work with cross-functional internal teams, working closely with agency-wide staff
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate potential issues or questions regarding projects
