Overview
The work will help key partnerships for Intuit’s business units including QuickBooks, TurboTax, and ProConnect to assess, plan, build, and execute on a strategy to drive new customer acquisition with net new business segments and partnerships. You’ll lead all sales event activities as the quarterback through to execution on how Intuit should partner to optimize the value of the partnership jointly solving for our self-employed, SMB and Mid-Market customers for the short and long-term. You’ll be great in this role if you are creative, excited about events, find passion in building things from the ground up, can develop structure in an un-structured environment, are self-motivated, are an outside of the box thinker and someone with a start-up mentality. You should have a proven track record of influencing at the executive level to the individual contributor all creating exceptional relationships along the way.
Responsibilities
- Event Strategy: Lead the vision of how the sales event strategy comes to life through event experiences. Develop overall events plan based on input from the Sales Marketing and Partnerships team and continue to evaluate and report on events success as part of overall business goals. Analyze competitive landscape and bring new ideas to the table. These events are primarily to recruit B2B Partners: Resellers, Franchise and Partners not end customers, which is why event strategy sits within the Sales Team.
- Event Production: Develop, up-level and launch event programs for specific sales events including home grown programs and tradeshows.
- Drive consistency: Inspire excellence and ensure events align with overall Intuit strategy and branding
- Relationship building/Lead: Build relationships and foster support from internal stakeholders, executive leadership team, marketing partners and key vendors.
- Reporting/Comms: Communicate strategy and tell the story that of “why” for every activation. Define and refine event metrics as part of overall sales marketing effectiveness metrics.
- Communications: Must be skilled with communications, focused on strategy and great at bringing stakeholders along for the ride
- Partner Management: Exceptional ability to nurture partnerships.
- Work with extended Intuit team and manage contractors and resources needed in order to execute on event strategy.
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, MBA or equivalent experience a plus.
- 12 yrs+ of proven end to end event management experience.
- Experience managing multiple agencies, contractors and 3rd party vendors.
- Experience managing and maintaining large budgets.
- Excellent eye for detail and deep understanding of high touch event implementation.
- Passion for creating unique customer experiences.
- Ability to work independently, self-directed, think strategically and be creative about solving problems and framing opportunities and the persistence to drive it to execution.
- Strong outcomes focus with track record of pushing beyond what is accepted as possible.
- Exceptional communication skills, resourcefulness, project management and presentation skills; organized, disciplined and results oriented.
