This role will be focused on our newest product innovation, Quickbooks Live Bookkeeping. Quickbooks Live connects small businesses and bookkeepers, creating a partnership that ensures perfect books for small businesses with no work.The QuickBooks Live Product team drives both product strategy and convenes the product-service “quad” of Product Development, Experience Design, Product Management, and Service Delivery to develop elegant solutions to prioritize customer problems.
This role is responsible for leading the product strategy and execution for QuickBooks Live. You will work across functions to identify and capitalize on new customer and expert insights, overcome challenges, lead/execute high-priority product experiences, and lead the fast-growing product management team. This role involves new services and orchestration across marketing, sales, customer success and other teams in driving QuickBooks Live adoption by small businesses across the globe. It does not represent the usual convergence of disparate data sets of features, inputs, priorities, and building products-it involves new services and orchestration and how to bring services to life through product value to small business customers. This is one of our company’s ‘big bets’ and key strategic initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Drive vision and innovation from both a strategic and tactical level to develop services and capabilities that define a great customer experience
    • Stay close to the customer, industry trends and connected ecosystem to bring unique differentiation to the small business and expert experiences
    • Deeply understand customer experience and pain points using usability studies, customer interactions, experiments, and aggregated feedback from internal customer facing teams
    • Continuously test and learn and leverage customer insights to inform product decisions and recommendations
  • Develop the product, services, customer success, and data components of the QuickBooks Live experience to scale up the successful launch of QuickBooks Live and other expert platforms in the US and across the globe
  • Operate as a player coach; be equally effective in managing a team (setting priorities, developing others) as in being an individual contributor who produces work product as a member of the team
    • Manage a fast-growing team of high potential and high-performance product managers, stewarding their growth and career development alongside critical week-in, week-out performance
    • Actively prioritize and force necessary product trade-offs to deliver for both Small Business and Experts
    • Build relationships across Product Development, Experience Design, Services Management, Analytics, Marketing, and other critical dependencies to ensure work across the ecosystem is adequately prioritized and resourced
  • Lead or support ongoing communications and operating mechanisms (e.g. experience reviews, etc.)
  • Help the team navigate a lot of complexity and overcome challenges and curve balls to maintain velocity and team engagement (i.e., relationship building, influence and ongoing dialogue with leaders of teams where dependent on across the company)
  • Be a master of stakeholder management and facilitate cross functional collaboration


Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of subject matter expertise in Product Management, a portion of which building businesses; at least 5 or more years of experience leading teams
  • Have built consumer facing products that people love; complex platform product experience that enables integrations at scale is essential
  • A seasoned people leader who can effectively recruit, develop and retain top product talent; exudes passion that inspires innovation and greatness
  • Record of building teams that systematically and consistently drive smart strategy and incredible execution of awesome product experiences
  • Experience driving large-scale product or strategic initiatives, bringing products to market,
  • Exceptional project management skills; how to plan, set and manage to reasonable timelines, while delivering projects that align to the business strategy
  • Superior communication, influencing and negotiating skills
