EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – FINANCE

REPORTS TO:

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:

SALARY:

LOCAL PAY GRADE: ADQ SALARY RANGE: $117,858 – $124,414

based on qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field required
  • CPA or TASBO certification preferred
  • Five years in financial management with an emphasis in public education

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of governmental accounting
  • Knowledge of Texas school finance
  • Experience with financial software
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to manage budget and personnel

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee All aspects of the finance department (accounting, treasury, accounts payable, payroll)
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, management of the accounting systems consistent with State laws and Board policy
  • Assist and advise the Chief Financial Officer regarding areas supervised and financial position of the District
  • Establish policies, procedures, and standards for opeartions involving financial activities to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
