    Fuller Construction is a 60 year old growing general contracting company located in Western Nebraska. Our rural community has approximately 6000 people, and our primary working radius is within 200 miles of Chadron, NE (although we do occasionally work on government projects in neighboring states). We build commercial, municipal, government, and some residential projects, and we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced person to learn and grow with us in the project management and estimating department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction estimating and project management, be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and driven. This job requires 40-50 hours per week and approximately 90% of the time is spent in our office, with the remainder spent visiting project sites before and during bidding and construction.

    Job responsibilities include:

    Read and comprehend project documents, including plans and specifications.

    Prepare timely and accurate cost estimates for self performed work (earthwork, concrete, carpentry, etc.)

    Procure and organize subcontractor and supplier pricing.

    Communicate with subcontractors/vendors and team members regarding new and current projects.

    Prepare schedule of values, subcontracts, and purchase orders.

    Establish and maintain working relationships with customers/owners, team members, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Able to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and develop detailed cost estimates.

    Understanding of commercial construction processes.

    Computer literate. Able to learn and use estimating software/spreadsheets.

    Able to estimate and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    Excellent problem-solving skills.

    Able to lead, serve, and get along well with others.
