Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all teams and project in the business unit to ensure that the work is executed on time, on budget, and in accordance with the client’s requirements and company policies and procedures
- Assist, as needed, in identifying new opportunities and developing new business with current and prospective clients * Assist, as needed, with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients
- Assist with and lead project execution as needed
- Train, mentor, develop and supervise engineering staff
- Provide work assignments and review performance to ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff
- Develop and evaluate standardized criteria for project plans
- Participate as needed in proposal development
- Serve as liaison with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Keep current on engineering trends and developments to recommend changes in program or design methods
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control as well as P&L of the business unit
- Strategic planning and business plan development to ensure that company goals are met
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required. Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration required
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years engineering experience to include project management, staff supervision, development and mentoring and client relationships
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Experience with governmental agencies
- Demonstrated experience in successful management of financial, marketing, human resources and operations aspects of an engineering business unit
