The Director, Finance Transformation (DTCI) position will play a key role in coordinating and managing DTCI finance integration and transformation efforts redefining finance processes, systems, data and business support and contributing to the company’s Future of Finance vision.

The role represents a unique opportunity to provide diverse finance expertise and to interact with Finance and IT teams within the DTCI Segment, across the Enterprise and with senior Finance leaders.

  • CPA, MBA and/or experience in management consulting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • A minimum of ten years prior work experience
  • Intellectual curiosity, appetite to do things better and proactive nature
  • Prior experience running cross-functional programs with multiple and senior stakeholders; experience in process design, process improvements, automation, system enhancements and project management.
  • Ability to conduct deep dive analysis and present information to key stakeholders in a digestible way
  • Strong understanding of The Walt Disney Company’s finance processes, tools and systems across multiple segments
  • Ability to balance the perfect with the pragmatic to reach outcomes that move the organization forward quickly and effectively
  • Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate the business/finance language of each segment (e.g. Ultimates and Per Caps)
  • Must be comfortable dealing with complex, ambiguous and challenging issues and working with and manipulating large data sets
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management

  • As part of DTCI Central Planning group, partner with DTCI Finance organization and Enterprise Transformation Team to lead and coordinate the Finance Integration and Transformation projects for DTCI Segment.
  • Work across 3 main areas of focus including finance systems, data standardization and process improvements as well as help to redefine how Finance supports the business in achieving near and long term objectives.
  • Understand, critically analyze and map current processes across finance. Design complex, cross-segments processes working with cross functional teams to align opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and prioritize existing integration requirements and process inefficiencies, recommend solutions and drive their timely implementations.
  • Act as DTCI Finance Change Champion spearheading DTCI Finance strategic transformation initiatives by building road maps and prioritizing process changes based on cost benefit analysis, dependencies with other initiatives and systems, and organizational bandwidth.
  • Understand and validate any impacts to DTCI processes resulting from Enterprise-wide recommended solutions and systems and ensure DTCI requirements are properly represented.
  • Coordinate DTCI integration and transformation projects with international regions to include their unique requirements and solutions and provide them with proper system and process changes guidelines.
  • Work closely with Enterprise-wide Transformation Team and Technology to ensure strategic alignment of priorities, designs, system requirements, solutions and cross-segment impacts.
  • Partner with HR to develop and drive Change Management program. Participate in change management activities engaging leadership and stakeholders to obtain support and buy in for a change.
  • Develop measures of success to track progress towards Transformation goals.
  • Prepare presentation materials and participate in routine update meetings with segment and corporate stakeholders.
  • Establish new processes as needed to ensure successful DTCI Transformation program management and project execution.
  • Identify potential issues and risks and develop mitigation strategies.


Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
