Allsteel, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing, and a top brand in the HNI Corporation enterprise, is in search of a Director, Sales to join our team!

As a Director, Sales, you will manage the promotion of Allsteel products and services in designated regions. You will lead a regional sales team and drive strategy for A&D, sales, and dealer relations.


Some of the essential aspects of the
position include:

  • Supervise, coordinate, provide leadership and review work of assigned members. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, transfers, corrective actions and other personnel actions. Interview and recommend candidates for employment. Drive member engagement.
  • Manage the sale of products and services in designated regions.
  • Lead in strategy development for designated regions.
  • Establish relationships with dealers, sales members, end-users, A&D firms, etc.
  • Coach sales team and build high performance sales force.
  • Manage the identification, tracking, and development of sales opportunities with Salesforce.
  • Maintain relevant reporting for designated regions.
  • Develop sales goals and responsibilities as part of the annual POA process.
  • Build brand awareness in the market through dealer training.


What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Accomplished sales member with strong record of sales.
  • Experience leading a team of sales professionals.
  • Experience in the office furniture industry preferred.
  • Ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of the office furniture industry preferred.
  • Member must be able to travel and have transportation to and from client base.
  • Member must reside in designated region.
  • Primary focus on direct customer interaction:

    • Primary working location will be in an office environment where low volume noise is on-going.
    • Sitting/standing at work station for up to the entire scheduled work day.
    • Majority of office time spent on a computer system.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Must be able to lift sample product into car/truck
    • No special safety equipment is needed.

    • Frequent travel required

    • Can reside in Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, or Denver.
