What you will do
Johnson Controls is currently executing a multi-year strategy to build its data and analytics capabilities across the organization. This involves investment in the areas of cloud-based infrastructure, data asset expansion, data management controls and data/ analytics operating model.
This role will support the delivery of initiatives comprised of ingestion, transformation, modelling and visualization to facilitate the business enablement of the data strategy.
How you will do it
- Run up to two Scrum team(s) using Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Produce and explain sprint burndowns, burnups, and release plans.
- Understand and implement estimation techniques for sprint planning.
- Coordinate with other scrum masters in a scaled Agile environment.
- Use Jira to track your backlog, assign tasks, and produce reports.
- Work closely with Product Owner aligned with specific business area/unit.
- Communicate team status to a variety of stakeholders.
- Ensure a collaborative âone teamâ approach comprised of both business and IT representatives.
- Be intuitive and perceptive and have outstanding communication skills.
- Manage the impact analysis of changes at both the solution requirement and resource levels.
- Document and control project collateral.
- Support the management of the scrum sprint backlog (epics, stories, etc.).
- Assist in Scrum iteration planning.
Qualifications
What we look for
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role
- Certified Scrum Master or other relevant Scrum certification required
- Business Intelligence/Data Analytics solutions experience, preferably in the Big Data space
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to processes and projects
- Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skills
Preferred:
- Relevant SAFe certifications
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations supporting multiple locations globally
- Previous experience as a Delivery Lead or Project Manager
