Summary Objective:
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for identifying and improving the outcomes of processes across the organization to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction. This position will identify, lead, and execute the Continuous Improvement strategy via Lean and Six Sigma methods to deliver bottom line, quantified results. This includes performing business assessment, planning, facilitation, execution of Kaizen events, and sustainment through standard work and standard operating procedures.

- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of previous experience in process improvement, continuous improvement and manufacturing.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt of preferred. Minimum Green Belt Certification or similar required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate change management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to apply Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen principles as well as Continuous Improvement methodologies as applied to a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP applications
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership, training and support to the business to achieve âBest-in-Classâ performance by eliminating waste in manufacturing and business processes, improving cycle times to our customers and creating an environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Develop and improve organization-wide processes through the use of Lean Methodology and Six Sigma tools. Drives the development of product flow and make recommendations on the efficient lay-out of the production floor and track the resulting benefit of those implemented changes.
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects and training to drive cultural change.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing and business issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, and create process documentation for such.
- Carry out advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility.
- Lead regularly scheduled Continuous Improvement meetings with operational leadership to review and track progress.
- Develop and conduct internal program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.
- Establish appropriate measurement systems to identify opportunities and to quantify implemented improvements.
- Lead the delivery of significant, quantifiable, annualized cost savings. Take accountability for the success of identified cost reduction.
- Design and implement solutions that ensure systems are designed for scalability and sustainability.
- Establish systems that identify opportunities for improvement. Makes constructive suggestions for change to improve process effectiveness and heighten quality.
