READY MIX CONCRETE PLANT MANAGER
Summary: We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead and manage our Carrollton, KY ready mix plant. This position is responsible for the daily management of the concrete operations and supervises concrete personnel and ready mix drivers. Must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Irving Materials, Inc. policies and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Supervise and motivate concrete plant personnel.
- Evaluate and mentor concrete job performance.
- For ready mix side, address and resolve employee issues; handle disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and condition of all on-site company assets.
- Coordinate customer orders, scheduling, and dispatching for both concrete and aggregate.
- Record daily use and current inventories of materials to ensure the supply of all materials is adequate.
- Responsible for batching ready mix concrete properly; ensure the product is loaded properly.
- Schedule and conduct monthly safety meetings; maintain applicable reports and logs.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of ready mix plant operations experience, including batching, required.
- High School diploma, or G.E.D., required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Must be safety oriented and experienced with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
- Basic computer skills using Google G Suite and MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, coach, and counsel employees.
- Must be willing to reside within the area of responsibility.
Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 annually.
