Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out-patient clinic partnerships.

The Clinical Vice President of Operations is a client focused, business-minded and team-oriented healthcare professional equipped with the skills and experience needed to lead the overall clinical and operational responsibilities of a defined territory. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the successful performance of each Wound Care Center within their territory by effectively managing all clinical, operational, practice management and financial elements of their respective Wound Care Centers. As the clinical leader in a defined territory, this position is responsible for providing oversight and leadership to a variety of clinical needs including: advanced modality protocols, clinical practice guidelines adherence, oversight of new product implementation, supply utilization management, and center productivity. They are the P&L owner for their territory, responsible for achieving contribution margins for both clinical and HSP for their defined territory, and are responsible for consistently providing value to the hospital partner.

This position will lead and drive our Grow the Business strategies for their territory by partnering with their Senior Vice President of Operations to develop and manage high-quality clinical programs that are aligned with the company’s vision and mission of enhancing Healogics’ position as the leader in wound care.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

  • Creates Exceptional Patient Experiences by ensuring the consistent and effective execution of evidence based wound care across the Wound Care Centers in their territory to improve center quality performance and to develop a culture of continuous improvement. Coaches center level clinicians on appropriate levels of care to promote quality outcomes.
  • Responsible for Growing the Business through the optimization of our Wound Care Clinics business through the effective and efficient management of all clinical, financial, and operational elements of the out patient wound care clinics within a defined territory.
  • Responsible for the P&L and has ultimate responsibility for achieving the Healogics contribution margin for their defined territory

  • Partners with all clinical providers to maximize resources dedicated to clinical recruitment, staffing and scheduling requirements. Identifies opportunities for resource optimization and continuous quality improvement. Evaluates practice productivity and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for ensuring Exceptional Patient Experiences through oversite of the comprehensive day to day operational and clinical quality components of the Wound Care Center to provide the best care to every patient that would benefit
  • Implements, develops, and manages programs that demonstrate our value to our hospital partners through the consistent delivery of high-quality care

  • Deploys appropriate mechanisms to ensure accurate financial budgeting, reporting, and forecasting for a defined area. Identifies trends to proactively address and mitigate financial impacts.

  • Actively uses a variety of data mechanisms to track and monitor center operational, clinical, and financial performance measures to address and positively impact performance in all three areas

  • Creates a culture of One Healogics through the development and management of a team of managers passionate about driving wound care healing and prevention forward by managing programs that provide quality care to all who would benefit

  • Creates a Patient First approach to all activities within the territory by ensuring all activities are done according to policy and compliantly

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent OR a RN license required OR LPN license AND a Bachelor’s degree
  • BSN preferred
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred or 5 years minimum relevant leadership experience
  • Extensive business operations experience in the healthcare industry, including a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities in the healthcare industry
  • Experience in high growth, fast paced businesses with complex business models
  • Demonstrated experience and success in healthcare operations management
  • Experience working in a distributed organizational model and management of a defined territory
