The Piscataquis Regional YMCA is an equal opportunity employer committed to valuing diversity and practicing inclusion.
Introduction: Since opening its doors on May 21, 1988, the Piscataquis Regional YMCA has stayed true to its mission by continually evolving and growing to meet community needs. Throughout its 35 years of service, YMCA leaders have utilized the area’s resources to address widely varying community challenges including summer meals for children, youth and teen outreach programs, and family strengthening to name a few. Today, the Piscataquis Regional YMCA is a well-known provider of programs and services in the areas of after-school, aquatics, child-care, family, older adult, sports, summer day camp, wellness, and youth and teen. The Piscataquis Regional YMCA has not been immune to the challenges posed by a struggling economy and aging facility. While overall membership is solid, the region has an aging population and a high need for scholarships. The Y needs to have creative solutions to fundraising and community outreach and impact because of the age of the building and its ongoing needs.
Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000 (salary commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Retirement contribution, vacation plan, and other benefits per personnel policy. YMCA contributes 7% retirement contribution and employee contributes 5% per eligibility requirements (www.yretirement.org). Additional benefit details shared with finalists.

The greatest strength held by the Piscataquis Regional YMCA is the membership’s perception as a well-known and trusted institution that provides quality programs and outstanding facilities. The Y is very proud to be viewed as one of the “most important organizations” of the Piscataquis region (others include Mayo Regional Hospital, Foxcroft Academy, The Charlotte White Center, the choice of excellent schools, a diverse faith community, the Thompson Free Library, and other quality non-profits including WomanCare and The Center Theatre).
