Job Description

The responsibilities of the Assistant to the President within Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) broadly embrace the key areas described below. The most critical role is to ensure our President and CEO has the capacity to perform her duties in the most efficient way possible. Work alongside the President will assist her with errands and daily business activities. Outstanding communication skills, the ability to assess the President’s needs, ability to provide detailed information and correspondence on demand will be critical to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives the President to various locations as needed
  • Prepares correspondence with a high attention to detail utilizing excellent communication skills
  • Answers incoming phone calls and email on behalf of the President
  • Runs errands as needed
  • May attend meetings and will be responsible for note-taking. A high level of discretion is required as confidential discussions will frequently occur
  • May prepare reports and presentations
  • Maintains contact lists
  • Coordinates travel itineraries
  • Works cross-functionally and collaborates with members of the GRI team
  • Conducts research on various matters as needed
  • Practices fine dining level customer service by providing extraordinary attention to the President’s needs while communicating information honestly. Must go above and beyond to try and effectively respond to questions and concerns
  • Maintains a clean and professional appearance
  • Able to respond to changing needs and manages multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Completes other duties as assigned in a timely and appropriate manner

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience using Mac and Apple systems required
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
  • Flexible availability to respond to unplanned needs
  • At least three years’ experience in executive and/or high-level administrative support
  • A strong work ethic and ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high demand environment
  • Must have flexible schedule and availability on nights and weekends
  • Intellectual curiosity specifically in regard to cannabis medicine

Supervision:

  • Works under the general supervision of the President and CEO
  • This position is not responsible for supervising other employees

Required Skills:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must be comfortable driving other vehicles
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Demonstrated passion to serving the needs of executive employees
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Computer operating skills, specifically Mac
  • Must not have been convicted of any felony offense
  • Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to genuinely and respectfully connect with all levels of the organization
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Able to juggle multiple rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
  • High level of emotional intelligence and team-building skills
  • Ability to pass all required background checks to work with a MA cannabis company
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Comp is 65 K+ depending on experience

Salary: $65,000.00 /year
