    Job Summary
    We are an exhibit, design and build company specializing in helping clients build brand awareness and grow sales in national and global markets. We are currently seeking an experienced VP – Operations to join our San Diego based team. As the VP – Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of that location.
    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Client engagement to ensure seamless delivery
    • Ensure proper foundation for relationship with project support teams
    • Managing a team of Project Managers, Quality Controllers, Graphics, Logistics and Production.
    • Provide the strategic direction and leadership for the team in alignment with direction from corporate
    • Responsible for meeting all established cost, quality and delivery commitments.
    • Ensure the unit is working collaboratively as a team to achieve plan objectives and that each function is performing at optimum levels.
    • Support sales team by solving problems
    • Participate in the recruiting, hiring and coaching of new and existing staff.
    • Monitor staffing levels in accordance with production needs. Balance the need for all full-time, part-time and subcontracted labour.
    • Ensures that the work culture and working environment in the organization is conducive to optimum employee productivity.
    • Manage and implement company policies for overall safety in the workplace.
    • Understands and interprets facility and show policies and procedures and is responsible for ensuring assigned team meets and follows requirements.
    • Partners with Sales / Account Director on completing all facets of the job preshow/show site/post show.

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience or 5+ years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to provide excellent leadership, relationship building and negotiation
    • A proven track record of solid decision making
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Familiar with current material handling rates, show rules and regulations, association requirements and pertinent information to show.
    • Previous experience in exhibit fabrication/refurbishment standards and quality control are required.
    • Must be proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
    • Familiar with rigging, electrical, audio visual, labour management and cost control.
    • Must have knowledge of all types of modular displays.
