Director/VP of Human Resources

The Human Resources Director/VP is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function, including employee engagement, compensation, compliance, performance management, health and welfare benefits, record management, and recruiting. The position serves as a consultant to management on all human resource-related issues, proactively assessing needs and communicating them and partnering within the organization to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates and maintains relationships across the organization to deliver value-added service to management and all employees, reflecting the business objectives and culture of the organization.

  • Ability to partner with all levels of the organization to deliver a sustainable human resources process establishing Larson Financial Holdings as an employer of choice.
  • Direct, oversee, and execute the human resources process for all Larson Financial Holdings offices and operations-oriented locations. Responsibilities include oversight of human resources staff, formulation and execution of strategic initiatives, department budgeting, employee relations, and partnering with internal and external customers to resolve all facets of the human resources function.
  • Review annually, make recommendations, and implement improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices impacting the human resources processes. Communicate changes in the organization’s policies and procedures, and ensure proper compliance.
  • Coordinate recruiting and retention strategies for all positions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation and ensure the organization’s consistent adherence to all federal, state, and local guidelines (such as FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA).
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, staff development, workforce management, and succession planning decisions for the organization.
  • Maintain a human resources management system that meets the organization’s needs, including Talent Management, and Employee Engagement.
  • Supervise, train, and develop Human Resources team members.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to business partners (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, performance improvement).
  • Create and analyze reports, metrics, and results of department in relation to established goals. Implement logical data driven corrective actions.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the business.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Consult with Larson Financial Holdings general counsel as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7 Years HR Experience with a Broker Dealers, RIA’s, Banks, or Insurance Firms
  • Proven Expertise in Designing and Implementing Organizational Programs, Policies, and Systems
  • Active Participation in Human Resources Network for Financial Professionals
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organization Development, or Related Field
  • Certified Human Resource Professional or Other HR Professional Designation
  • FINRA Registration Not Required, but Advantageous: FINRA Series 7, 66, 24, 99, etc.
  • Must be able to pass background, FINRA, and other Finance industry checks
