    Position Summary:

    This position fills the scrum master(SM) role in Product Development and includes technical business analyst responsibilities and some project management. The Technical Business Analyst/Scrum Master works with various stakeholders, business/product owners and technical staff on product development in the specialty regulatory industry. Candidates for this position are self-motivated, team players and leaders who can make sound decisions with minimal supervision. This is a dynamic, changing environment where you will fill multiple roles and work on multiple project teams, products and systems simultaneously. As a member of our Technical Business Analysis team, you’ll play a crucial role in identifying, improving and developing technology solutions that drive our strategic goals.     Essential Functions:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, development teams, IT professionals, vendors and all other parties critical to the success of sprints, projects and releases
    • Lead development teams filling all roles – Mentor, Coach, Teacher, Facilitator; developing self-organized high-performing teams
    • Find methods to effectively manage the product backlog to ensure there is a consistent flow of work to the development teams that aligns with company priorities; assist with prioritizing new requests and support tickets, and with release planning and deployment communication
    • Gather and understand requirements; work with clients, users, business/product owners & SMEs to understand the goal and be able to translate and breakdown requests into user stories; authoring additional requirements artifacts and project documentation as needed
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure clear understanding of requirements and the technical vision
    • Proactively work to identify, communicate and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with the success of a project; problem-solve
    • Monitor and communicate project-related issues, dependencies and scope changes that may arise on projects; Serve as main contact for status updates including developing/presenting project plans and status reports when needed
    • Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of the systems, applications, clients, users, interfaces; understand key business drivers and needs of customers
    • Schedule/lead typical scrum events/ceremonies; maintain burn-downs, key metrics and other Product Development/Scrum Team duties as assigned
    • Work with Product Owner and Product team to help bring to life the product organization construct
    • Document user stories as needed and translating complex user stories into technical specification as needed
    • Present to key senior executive stakeholders

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in software development; 3+ years solid BA experience including waterfall and agile, 2+ years working hands-on in an agile/scrum framework as Scrum Master
    • Proficiency in business applications, data usage and management
    • Ability to liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
    • Strong influencing and leadership skills with proven ability to drive stakeholders and teams to consensus on product needs, requirements and design decisions
    • Experience working in a distributed workforce and supporting clients/partners in other time zones with the ability to deliver on commitments in a timely manner and within quality standards
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to independently and effectively participate in strategic collaborations with peers across the firm
    • Active listening skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and documentation skills
    • Effective meeting facilitation and presentation skills
    • Experience with consumer lending, lending and accounting software, high volume lead generation, payment processing, contact center and CRM systems preferred but not required
    • Strong understanding of the business and technical aspects of a project
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint); Some experience with requirements/task/project management tools
    • This position requires some travel, approximately 10% of the total work hours

    • Daily exposure to PC’s and Networks
    • Sit for long hours in front of Computer Monitors
