As the Senior Product Manager, you will apply your expert multi-tasking skills to guide product direction and strategy, manage iterative delivery of new features and products, and ensure all services continue to meet stated goals and address user needs. All while applying your relationship building skills across government stakeholders and cross-functional teams through all product life-cycle stages.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross-functional delivery teams consisting of engineers, UX researchers, visual designers, content writers, and UX designers to create customer focused products.
- Execute and deliver on the backlog and road-map that you create with your stakeholders.
- Work with the Government stakeholders to develop priorities, strategy, and road-maps for Veteran-facing web portals.
- Schedule and assign duties to team members through the use of Scrum Agile methods.
- Act as an advocate for the end user, government stakeholders and business partners as it relates to product issues and improvements
- Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for process improvement associated with product implementation and support
- Interface with internal and Government management personnel.
- Reports to internal and Government management.
Qualifications
Required skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in Agile environments and in IT delivery while building and sustaining high performing teams.
- Deep understanding of Agile beyond just the frameworks and methods including but not limited to lean delivery, flow, productivity metrics (not just vanity metrics), and Agile principles.
- Product Ownership and the proven ability to decompose requirements, understand the full development life-cycle, and work with subject matter experts to form a complete road-map and backlog.
- Analyze product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends in the private sector and develop product strategies based on research and analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistently ensure business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with GovernmentCIO policies, procedures, and core competencies.
- Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorâs Degree with 8 – 10 years or Associateâs Degree with 10-12 years of experience in relevant fields
- Experience managing a distributed project team
- Experience managing and coordinating all tasks and resources to ensure the end project deliverable(s) are met on budget on time
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Desired skills and Experience:
- Experience on government contracts and working as a Trusted Advisor’s
- Working knowledge of USDS playbook and VA Digital Services Handbook
- Familiar with tenets of user-centered design and DevOps
- SAFe certification or experience
