Emagine IT is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President of Business Development to lead Business Development, Capture, Sales, and Proposal activities to achieve a maximum market share, sales and profit in a manner consistent with the overall objectives of the company.

The Senior Vice President of Business Development is responsible for revenue growth through both the capture of new contracts and customers as well as retention of existing contracts and customers.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the senior management team to deliver high impact business results. This individual will therefore have a significant opportunity to affect the growth, direction and future of Enagine IT’s business.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds comprehensive short and long term strategies and plans targeting Federal Government Accounts and Strategic Programs to ensure proper market penetration
  • Builds and fosters high level relationships within key Federal Gov’t organizations & cooperatives to develop long term retention, penetration & growth opportunities
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to key influencers and decision makers that address the existing or new customer’s needs and leads to sales/margin growth and customer retention
  • Oversees & approves execution and development of proposals necessary for targeted business opportunities
  • Establishes and maintains a working relationship with all key department leaders and associates to keep abreast of current business status
  • Develops annual sales and profit budgets, established key operational and program metrics, presents Government program results to executives monthly and quarterly, and drives appropriate adjustments to achieve targets
  • Fosters the Emagine IT culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of company’s vision and unity of purpose
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
  • Provide overall management and act as the central point of contact for all managers
  • Advise, contribute, and mentor team members across the business on how to support business development and proposals to support growth
  • Use established relationships and develop new ones with key Government decision makers and acquisition officials to lead/deliver/win new and current business
  • Manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities to support the company’s growth objectives and strategic goals
  • Ensure high quality, winning proposals


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of experience managing sales, including 5 years of Federal Government specific sales management
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Government Contracts & Procurement regulations is required. Knowledge of Public Sector Cooperatives is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or the equivalent required.
  • Ability to identify large Government program opportunities and drive a complex strategic account sales process is required
  • Must be a strategic planner and able to execute plans to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations
  • Maintain unwavering professional integrity and business ethics in all engagements and protect confidentiality of Emagine IT proprietary information and intellectual property
  • Must have experience engaging the government customer and ensuring relationships are strong and remain positive
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills and understanding of critical legal implications is required
  • Excellent organizational level management, and high- level selling skills are required
  • Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, coaching, and team building skills are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required
  • The ability to quickly build relationships and garner attention in person and on the phone
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Self-motivator and energetic personality
  • Must be comfortable with working independently, managing ambiguity, and able to work cross-functionally
  • Travel to events as required
