The Senior Project Manager will define, scope, initiate and manage large departmental projects with moderate to high risk while supporting business and program management staff. Typical scope of the projects will be greater than 6 months, involve more than 10 FTEs which are cross functional and be a project that is critical to the company meeting its objectives. Team members in a Project Manager role are expected to display core competencies such as Project Delivery, Financial Management, Risk Management, and Estimating and Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assuming full responsibility for the overall execution and completion of delivery projects
- Leading the planning and implementation of IT projects
- Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Developing and managing full scale project plans, budgets, and resources
- Acting as the focal point of communication between the team members and stakeholders, both client and internal,
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to internal and external stakeholders
- Defining project tasks and resource requirements
- Planning and scheduling project timelines
- Tracking project deliverables using the appropriate tools
- Providing direction and support to project team
- Monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to internal and external stakeholders
- Presenting reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Implementing and managing project changes/interventions to achieve desired outcomes
- Daily cadence with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure overall success
- Project evaluations and assessment of end results
- Quality assurance
What We Will Need from You:
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Technology or related field
- 5+ years of experience in managing information systems and/or IT project delivery
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or 5+ years of project management experience (must meet minimum documented project hours for audit requirements)
- Experience utilizing Agile delivery methodology
Bonus Skills/Experience:
- Agile or SCRUM Certification (Scrum Alliance, etc.)
- Experience supporting projects related to network engineering, data center or information security
- Experience with Cisco, VMware, Veeam, Pure, Dell EMC or similar
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
