JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Regional Manager is responsible for establishing relationships and increasing membership (Commissioners, Coaches, Officials and Players) through our Football Development Model (FDM) and individual membership programs while building brand awareness and engagement with USA Football. The Regional Manager will be responsible for achieving set metrics by working with the largest league accounts in their geographic region.
Essential Functions

- Promote and sell the USA Football’s Development Model and other membership programs
- Manage relationships with leagues throughout a designated geographic region; make contacts (in-person, phone and email) necessary to close sales
- Attend league meetings and make presentations
- Achieve sales metrics as established by USA Football
- Deliver the critical message on the importance of coaching education
- Provide support after the sale for FDM members – member registration & activation, outstanding balances, etc.
- Promote FDM pre-registrations and achieve metric
- Promote LTP/First Down Program registrations and achieve metric
- Plan and conduct State Forums within the region
- Support and assist with the Youth Football Alliance project
- Assist with coordinating coach certification clinics with the Events team
- Research and identify youth football programs within the region while maintaining accurate information on all owned league accounts
- Record all sales activities and communication in USA Football’s CRM system (Salesforce.com)
- Promote (and sell where applicable) other USA Football programs and partner resources to youth football leagues including education programs, coaching and other tools and events
- Conduct account/sales projects and assist other departments with their initiatives
- Develop a sales plan that includes finalizing the budget for the region
- Provide superior customer service to every commissioner, coach, official, parent and player within the region
- Promote and support USA Football events
- Generate attendance for the annual National Conference
- Manage the opportunity pipeline (goal is to work all accounts through the pipeline to either Closed Won or Closed Lost)
- Identify trends in the youth/scholastic/high school marketplace and make recommendations for USAFB expansion/improvement of programs
- Cultivate a productive relationship with all NFL clubs in the region and connect with NFL club reps at least once per month

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least five years of experience selling membership programs, sports events or other related programs
- Events or youth sports experience is preferred
- Demonstrated success in all aspects of sales (sales process, group presentations, CRM systems) is required
- Excellent communication skills are necessary
- Football knowledge is also necessary
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience with Salesforce.com is preferred
- Knowledge of online membership and e-commerce systems is a plus
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory duties.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, manual dexterity and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
Travel
The position requires heavy traveling to the West Coast:
- Heavy Travel : January – May
- Light Travel: June – August, November, December
- Office: September, October
