The Quality/QC, position is accountable for managing the Company’s Quality Program and ensuring projects are completed per internal quality procedures and meet project specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain all electronic and hard copy records. Inclusive of DIR, quality audits, CAR logs, etc.

  • Navigate and ensure compliance with DOT, DOD, and DOE specifications.
  • Perform and document internal QS-1, QP-1 and QP-2 audits.
  • Track employee training and certifications as required for qc compliance.
  • Manage compliance of required documents i.e. Certificates of Insurance (COI), Executed Contract, Billing Type etc.
  • Submit and document electronic and hard copy files for SSPC job notifications.
  • Monitor, track and maintain quality control instrumentation and instrumentation certifications.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for all customers regarding QC matters, including ensuring and documenting warranty item root analysis.
  • Support field personnel with all relevant matters regarding project QC as needed.
  • Maintain all certifications required by SSPC for QCM position in organization.
  • Identify problematic QC issues and resolve them quickly.
  • Notify direct supervisor of all problematic issues immediately.
  • Review and approve all project QC documents.
  • Maintain a register of employee certifications and schedule and manage employee training (NACE, SSPC, etc.)
  • Travel to projects and be able to pass nuclear and military background checks.

Qualifications

PCS, PCI Level 3 or NACE 3 and BCI Level 2

5 year experience in coating field

Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data

Thorough understanding of Quality Program implementation and management

Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, Word) and TruQC

Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) but not mandatory

High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
