Summary
The Project Manager (in Training) will be responsible for assisting in performing Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), the collection of technical data, and other related services to due diligence and capital planning of commercial real estate and multi-family housing properties. Prior experience in the architecture/mechanical field a plus. The Project Manager (in Training) is a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in conducting on-site inspections and building condition assessments
  • Conduct on-site inspections of apartment unit interiors
  • Collection of detailed and technical mechanical system data
  • Conduct lighting surveys
  • Prepare written reports that accurately describe findings (ASTM standards)
  • Prepare and organize information into logical usable and sortable data
  • Enter asset information into capital planning databases
  • Ability to demonstrate mastery of technology

Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or Engineering preferred. A comfort level with either architectural/building systems or with mechanical systems is preferred. Prior experience working in either an architectural or engineering company is beneficial but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Physical demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Requirements
Ability to relocate to Owings Mills, MD for one to three months for extensive training

Travel is variable up to 50%
Ability to work from remote location

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with EMG employees and clients
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
