The Project Manager II is a key resource for projects across the organization. The Project Manager will support the implementation of the lean management system through the value stream roll-out in primary care and specialty departments as well as other integrative projects when identified, particularly those requiring Epic knowledge. The Project Manager will require the necessary skills to assist and lead an organization in transition, including data retrieval and analysis with the ability to create meaningful metrics to prompt action/change within the organization.
The Project Manager will lead other organizational projects as assigned and will utilize the depth of organizational and systems skills to promote innovative solutions and stream-lined processes for new / evolving work flows, technology, etc. The Project Manager will establish effective working relationships with process owners and other stakeholders through ownership and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the implementation of lean management system through value stream in primary care and specialties as identified.
- Documents standard work
- Facilitates the development of the project plan(s) to ensure the priorities, project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget constraints
- Leads the coordination of other support functions (Facilities, IT, etc.) during implementation
Manages / Oversees projects assigned
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and achieve project deliverables
- Communicates with project sponsor, steering committee and other stakeholders on a regular basis. PM has authority and responsibility for entire project cycle – initiate, plan, execute, control and close
- Provides ongoing support for project teams. Act as a coach or mentor for teams.
- Acts as a champion for new ideas and innovations
- Leads work flow improvements utilizing Epic knowledge
- Develops and trains, in concert with PMC physician champion and local EHR-ambulatory support team, new/improved work flows, utilizing EpicCare system knowledge to optimize
- Develops and pioneers, in concert with PMC physician champion, local EHR-ambulatory support team and EHR-acute support team, innovative work flows to leverage the power of the EpicCare system in an Enterprise Delivery System model.
- Collects and analyze data, and develop meaningful metrics and training tools for improvement work.
- Trains, empowers, and coaches tier 0/1/2 leaders to support continuous improvement
- Monitors process improvement work relative to plan
In addition to the key accountabilities listed, employees working in this position are expected to accept and perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-7 years relevant healthcare experience working with all levels of healthcare professionals including physicians and staff
- Prior project management lead
- In-depth knowledge of EHR system(s), preferably Epic, and how data is captured
- Data analytics and metrics – ability to respond/translate “client” needs and build actionable metrics for end users
- Lean management system knowledge (preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word
