Project Director – Pune, India M/F

Tata and Siemens have formed a consortium to bid for a 23km elevated heavy rail metro project in Pune. The consortium been awarded the project & signed a LOA on October 3rd 2018.

Keolis has been selected by the consortium to participate for technical assistance and option for operations and maintenance for a period of 5 + 3 years.

Minimum headway (peak) = 5.5 min (initial)

Expected passenger journeys per day (2022) = 260,000

Capital cost : Euro 830.4 million

In order to do that, Keolis is recruiting a Project Director role to be located in Pune, with the rest of the project team from the consortium and other contractors, for a minimum contract of 1 year up to 3 years.

Mission

This is an important leadership role for an important project and an exciting opportunity to work with some of the leading companies in the world. For the right candidate, there could be opportunity to take a key management position during the O&M stage.

The PD will be accountable for:
Managing the technical services contract with the consortium,

Managing the relationship with client, and other stakeholders and interfaces with other suppliers,

Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables to the highest quality,

Managing the design review process,

Providing support for market development and help with other bids in India,

Managing the budget as agreed with Consulting Department within Keolis.

Profile

Chartered Engineer or Graduate in business studies ;

Recognised leadership skills; excellent communicator ;

Sound understanding of metro/rail ;

Experience in the management of O&M processes, assets and products ;

Ability to work internationally under challenging timescales and in a multicultural environment ;

Resilient with the ability to handle multiple issues at the same time ;

Commercial and negotiation skills – Experience of negotiating at senior level and balancing the views of a range of stakeholders ;

Highly collaborative and adept at developing lasting and productive relationships ;

Experience of developing O&M strategy ;

Experience of developing and delivering business plans, budgets and costs models ;

Project management experience.
