As a member of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and Women’s Health Strategy and Business Development team, the Project Director of Strategic Development plays a key role in UCSF Health’s growth and affiliation strategy.
The role will assist leadership in the development of strategic as well as service line and geographic strategies (from concept to implementation) and project management of key activities as required to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and revenue. Project management and strategic analytical support will occur across the continuum of care for UCSF Health and its affiliates and will include acute and ambulatory service providers and as a wide-variety of physician groups.
The position works in concert across the UCSF Health enterprise to support executive leadership in developing and realizing strategic plans that will position UCSF Health and Benioff Children’s Hospitals as a growth oriented market leader. This role will involve interactions with a broad spectrum of personnel, both within UCSF Health and current and prospective partners.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, this positions will analyze new opportunities, existing strategies, and provider arrangements and will support regular review of financial and strategic metrics.
- Ten years experience in consulting, operations, or project management or a combination of education and experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a closely related field
- In-depth knowledge of business development concepts, best practices and functions
- Experience performing complex data analysis; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced analytical, critical-thinking and problem solving skills to assess complex issues and develop solutions
- Advanced planning, project management, change management, process improvement skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills to lead and work collaboratively and effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to positively interact with executives, providers and staff at all levels
- Advanced ability to develop comprehensive reports and presentations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
