  • Experienced with Microsoft Office software suite.

Experience and Other Skills Required

  • Five years direct experience consulting with clients and/or supporting OE/OD functions within an HR team.
  • High level of demonstrated proficiency with strategic planning and tactical analyses of OD/OE, change management and performance management.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in training and development to include supervising a team.
  • Experience should include classroom training, instructional design and experience conducting needs assessment.
  • Experience developing a robust LMS system and just-in-time training
  • Experience facilitating change management across various platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in creating quality training programs and material.
  • Knowledge of organizational development, organization effectiveness and training best practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to lift training materials and equipment with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to drive to multiple sites to conduct training using personal or company vehicle.

Description of Job Duties

Function:
The Organizational Development and Training Manager is responsible for the organizational development and effectiveness (OD&OE) along with the design, development, and delivery of talent management initiatives supporting the University’s performance and growth.

Scope:
Responsible for creating strategies to change behaviors and adapt to the University’s programs and projects covering performance management, change management, capability building, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and organizational development. Provides guidance and leadership to Training team members supporting the department’s mission.

Duties:
1. Develops strategic partnerships with University leadership, internal customers, and HR to identify and implement organizational effectiveness solutions and interventions supporting the organization’s strategic direction and priorities. Serves as an internal consultant to facilitate change management and the development of key organizational competencies.

2. Identifies and responds to organization development opportunities by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps. Supports the implementation of identified solutions.

3. Leads the development and implementation of the organization’s continuous improvement strategy, including programs and tools addressing individual and organization capability, organizational redesign, and business process re-engineering. Provides leadership and expertise on change management and performance management strategies aligned to the continuous improvement efforts.

4. Implements workforce planning techniques and data analytics to identify key workforce requirements necessary to achieve current and future business needs. Provides talent management and organizational development expertise for the assessment of talent gaps and opportunities; identifies and proposes talent solutions to meet those gaps and advance results.

5. Delivers customized trainings that meets the needs of UTSA strategic plan and key stakeholders.

6. Responsible for delivery of blended training to include classroom, LMS, vendor training to ensure “just in time” learning.

7. Researches industry best practices and trends to influence effective organizational effectiveness strategies and solutions.

8. Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing program evaluation process to measures effectiveness and continuous improvement based on customer needs.

9. Other duties as assigned.
