Position Title: Operations Program Manager – East Coast
Reports To: Senior Manager, Operations
Location: Preferably Washington D.C., NYC, or Boston; must align to Slalom Market location
Slalom is seeking an Operations Program Manager/Operations Business Partner to join our Global Services Operations team. This energetic, connected team supports our growing in-market Office Operations teams through change management, communications, event management, onboarding, coaching, and general office management. We value taking ownership and getting things done. We are looking for someone with a demonstrated commitment to excellence, flexibility, poise, confidence, and the ability to interface with our leadership team, consultants, vendors, candidates and guests in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and ongoing support, feedback and mentorship to a varying group of local market Office Operational teams and leadership teams across several markets including, but not limited to: Atlanta, Charlotte, South Florida, New York Metro, New Jersey, WestCo, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Federal.
- Build relationships with in-market Leadership, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and _build Operations teammates/leaders (where applicable) to advise on relevant execution of Office Operations best practices
- Drive Office Operations support and hiring with market launches in the region in partnership with in-market Talent Acquisition/Recruiting
- Facilitate onboarding for respective market office operations teammates in partnership with Global Services
- Coach in-market Office Operations teams varying in size (1 to 5+) in all areas of Office Operations including office administration, reception expectations, executive support, day-of event execution, venue/vendor negotiations, budgeting, menu planning, vendor coordination, on-site event setup, etc.
- Host community-building and informational virtual experiences for respective market teammates
- Serve as a steward and expert of Slalom culture programs for local markets in effort to continue to be a “Best Place to Work”
- Act as a liaison for Global Services Teams to help maintain and implement new processes and ensure best practices are adopted across all local markets (Global Services Team liaison assignments TBA)
- Act as temporary in-market Office Operations support in the event a market is without a teammate to ensure business continuity (may include large-scale event planning/event execution and unexpected travel)
- Review and audit all Office Operations ways of working locally and program-wide to ensure cross-cultural relevance and ensure adoption
- Support the strategy and execution of the biennial Office Operations Summit: “OpsCon”
- With support from the Senior Manager, Operations and team, implement key initiatives on behalf of the Global Services Operations team
Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in an operations setting
- 3+ years project management and event management experience
- Experience working in a global, professional, and high-paced environment
- Experience managing and/or advising a remote team
- Scrupulous attention to detail, able to develop and maintain highly organized work environment
- Proven ability to set priorities and work independently while remaining flexible and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including 1-3 week-long visits to Seattle, Washington
- Align to/sit in an Australian market and adapt to global working hours, as needed
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
- Problem solver who seeks sustainable solutions vs isolated fixes
- A belief that organizations and industries are best when they are diverse and inclusive, and a commitment to ensuring that events we participate in reflect that belief
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Advanced skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
